Please make every effort to make your property ready for your shoot ahead of time. all the instructions according to this is given below.

01 Checklist

Quick overview on How to Prepare Your Professional Photoshoot?

- Open all curtains and shades

- Turn on all lights and lamps. (Replace any burnt out bulbs - use fluorescent/incandescent bulbs)

- Remove stuffed animals and any other additional decorative items  from beds

- Straighten and align cushions and pillows on furniture

#5

- Remove cars from driveway and park away from the front of the house

#6

- Clear the clutter from all surfaces (kitchen counters, bathroom vanity, hide visible wires)

- Remove all family portraits, personal/pet items, and kids' toys

#8

- Remove BBQ and pool covers

#9

- Schedule any contractors before shooting day to avoid foot traffic during the appointment

Inside Checklist

Turn on all light. This will help your house look inviting and clean.

Remove cluttered items from any tables, countertops and other surfaces. This will help rooms look spacious.

Exteriors and Backyards Checklist

Exteriors

Remove cars from the driveway and park away from the front of the house. Hide unwanted objects (trash cans, recycle bins, garden hoses, toys, tools). Tidy up any decorations or plants near the front door. Mow grass and remove all debris from the sidewalks, driveways and flower beds. 

Backyard and Outdoor Areas

Remove any unwanted items and tidy up the area. Set up tables, umbrellas and chairs. Remove BBQ and/or pool covers. Turn on overhead road lights.

Living Areas Checklist

Living and Dining Rooms

Turn on all the lights, turn off all fans, open curtains and blinds. Smooth out cushions and blankets (fluff pillows). Arrange decorative objects on all tables and shelves. Light fireplace and turn off the TV. Position dining chairs symmetrically. Tidy tables, counters and other surfaces.

Kitchens

Turn on all the lights, turn off all fans, open curtains and blinds. Clean countertops and hide visible wires. Remove all magnets etc, from refrigerators. Hide garbage cans. Place all cooking ingredients inside cabinets. Arrange visible objects symmetrically (stools, etc).

Bedrooms and Bathrooms Checklist

Bedrooms

Turn on all the lights, turn off all fans, open curtains and blinds. Remove stuffed animals and any other decorative items from beds. Make bed with freshly ironed and tucked beddings (fluff pillows). Clear bedside table, dresser and desks of clutter. 

Bathrooms

Turn on all the lights, turn off all fans, open curtains and blinds. Remove everything from all surfaces and hide all toiletries (unless shoot is for a vacation rental). Put the toilet seat down. Clean surfaces (mirrors, glass doors, handles, etc).

Twilight Checklist

Exteriors/Interiors

Turn on all the lights inside, turn off all fans, open curtains and blinds. Hide unwanted objects (trash cans, recycling bins, gardening hoses, toys, tools). Tidy up any decorations or plants. Set up tables, umbrellas and chairs. Remove BBQ and/or pool covers. Turn on exterior lights (can lights, sconces, pool lights, landscape lights), and overhead road lights.
